Penggunaan Voyant Tools Dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris

Kemajuan teknologi dan informasi harus mampu dimanfaatkan oleh manusia sebagai alat yang dapat mempermudah aktivitasnya, termasuk aktivitas dalam belajar bahasa inggris. Salah satu media digital berbasis web yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah voyant tools. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan penggunaan Voyant Tools untuk memeriksa teks bahasa Inggris. Pertanyaan penelitian berkisar pada penggunaan Voyant Tools yang efektif untuk analisis teks bahasa Inggris dan persepsi siswa setelah menerima instruksi tentang penggunaannya. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa yang terdaftar di sebuah universitas di Karawang. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Voyant Tools memungkinkan analisis teks dengan memeriksa frekuensi kata, kolokasi, word cloud, konkordansi, visualisasi, dan fungsi-fungsi lain yang tersedia dalam Voyant. Selain itu, semua peserta yang diwawancarai menyatakan kemudahan mereka dalam menggunakan Voyant Tools, yang terbukti bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris siswa. Sebagai rangkuman, peneliti menemukan bahwa Voyant Tools berbasis web menawarkan pendekatan yang mudah digunakan untuk menganalisis teks bahasa Inggris. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar para peneliti dan pendidik menggunakan alat berbasis web Voyant untuk memfasilitasi analisis teks bahasa Inggris dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris.
