PENYULUHAN PENDIDIKAN POLITIK BAGI PEMILIH PEMULA KARANG TARUNA KECAMATAN PANYINGKIRAN

Abstract

The implementation of community service programs is motivated by the problem of the lack of understanding of the political and electoral system faced by youth of Karang Taruna throughout the District of Panyingkiran as first-time voters. To solve this problem political education counseling is conducted with the aim of increasing knowledge, understanding, insight, and awareness and interest in using voting rights in elections. The method used is counseling for management and members of the Youth Organization in Panyingkiran District. The material presented includes the deepening of the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, democracy and the political system in Indonesia, the election as the implementation of the Pancasila ideology, and the participation of the younger generation in the election. Based on the results of the evaluation, the results of the activities showed that the process of implementing community service activities went very well, the absorption capacity of the extension participants to the material presented reached 69%. Qualitatively, novice voters have additional knowledge, understanding, insight, and awareness about politics and are willing to actively participate in channeling their voting rights in elections. In conclusion, political education counseling can increase knowledge, understanding, and insight as well as political awareness of the youth voter voters of Karang Taruna Districts throughout Panyingkiran District
