PENGEMBANGAN MODUL KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA (PRESENTER) SEBAGAI PENUNJANG KECAKAPAN LITERASI SISWA SMP DI KABUPATEN KUNINGAN

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara diperoleh sejak manusia dapat melafalkan bunyi bahasa dan merangkainya menjadi sebuah kalimat utuh, keterampilan tersebut dapat digunakan dalam bersosialisasi. Wawasan keterampilan berbicara bidang pewara perlu diberikan kepada siswa sejak jenjang SMP. Hal ini terlihat dalam Festival Literasi Sekolah (FLS) untuk jenjang SMP yang di dalamnya terdapat berbagai lomba salah satunya adalah lomba presenter. Dalam kegiatan FLS yang dilaksanakan oleh Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kuningan ditemukan permasalahan dari para peserta lomba yaitu kurangnya penguasaan topik, gestur yang kaku, tempo berbicara yang tidak stabil, dan kurangnya percaya diri dalam membawakan sebuah acara. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut maka peneliti akan mengembangakan modul keterampilan berbicara khususnya presenter sebagai  penunjang kecakapan literasi untuk para guru bahasa Indonesia agar dapat membimbing para siswa ketika akan mengikuti lomba presenter. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan Penelitian dan Pengembangan atau Reasearch and Development (R and D). Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dari hasil identifikasi kebutuhan guru yang diperoleh dari pengisian angket, 10 orang guru Bahasa Indonesia SMP yang menjadi partisipan menjawab “ya” untuk setiap pertanyaan. Hasil rekapitulasi harapan dan kebutuhan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru membutuhkan modul yang sesuai dengan standar kompetensi atau tujuan dan dicantumkan di dalam modul sehingga siswa dapat mengetahuinya. Desain modul terdiri dari sampul, kata pengantar, daftar isi, petunjuk penggunaan modul, deskripsi modul, materi inti, latihan, rangkuman, tugas, referensi. Hasil uji kelayakan secara umum modul layak digunakan hanya ada sedikit revisi. Hasil penelitian ini disosialisasikan kepada 15 guru SMP Bahasa Indonesia di kabupaten Kuningan.

Speaking skills are acquired since humans can pronounce language sounds and assemble them into a whole sentence, so that these skills can be used in socialising. Insight into speaking skills in the field of storytelling needs to be given to students since junior high school. This can be seen in the School Literacy Festival (FLS) for junior high school which includes various competitions, one of which is a presenter competition. In the FLS activities carried out by the Kuningan Regency Education and Culture Office, problems were found from the contestants, namely lack of mastery of the topic, stiff gestures, unstable speaking tempo, and lack of confidence in presenting an event. Based on this description, the researcher will develop a speaking skills module, especially presenters, as a support for literacy skills for Indonesian language teachers so that they can guide students when participating in presenter competitions. The approach used in this research is the Research and Development (R and D) approach. The results of this study are from the results of the identification of teacher needs obtained from filling out the questionnaire, 10 junior high school Indonesian language teachers who became participants answered ‘yes’ for each question. The results of the recapitulation of expectations and needs show that the majority of teachers need a module that is in accordance with the competency standards or objectives and is included in the module so that students can know it. The module design consists of a cover, preface, table of contents, instructions for using the module, module description, core material, exercises, summary, assignments, references. The results of the feasibility test in general the module is feasible to use only a few revisions. The results of this study were socialised to 15 junior high school Indonesian teachers in Kuningan district.
