Uji Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) dengan Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair Pada Sistem Hidroponik
Abstract
Based on BPS data, it is known that the need for vegetables, especially bok choy, continues to increase. This is inversely proportional to the existence of agricultural land which is decreasing every year due to conversion to non-agricultural land. In this regard, the application of vegetable cultivation is not only limited to large areas of land. Even narrow land, such as a house yard, can be used as a cultivation area by applying planting methods that are efficient in using space, one of which is a hydroponic system. Nutrition is an important factor that influences increasing plant production. To achieve optimal growth and better quality results, additional supplementation is required. With complete organic nutritional content, Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) offers the potential to improve plant growth and quality. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of giving POC on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants in a hydroponic system. This research was carried out using an experimental approach using a Non-Factoral Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments and repeated 5 times so that there were 25 treatment units. The research results showed that plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, root volume, fresh plant weight and dry weight of pak choy plants using the hydroponic system cultivation technique could be optimized by providing POC. From the results of this research, when viewed from an efficiency perspective, it can be concluded that the best results for increasing the productivity of pakcoy plants are with the hydroponic system cultivation technique, namely, using POC with a concentration dose of 20 ml/liter of water.
