PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG PUCUK INDIGOFERA DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP MORFOLOGI USUS ENTOG (Cairina moschata)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh penambahan tepung pucuk Indigofera (TPI) terhadap morfologi usus entog serta mendapatkan tingkat penggunaan Indigofera dalam ransum yang menghasilkan morfologi usus entog yang paling baik. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan ransum R0 (ransum + TPI 0%), R1 (ransum + TPI 5%), R2 (ransum + TPI 10%), dan R3 (ransum + TPI 15%) setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Sebanyak seratus ekor entog jantan umur 1 hari dipelihara sampai umur 12 minggu, dimasukkan ke dalam 20unit kandang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian TPI dalam ransum memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap performan entog. Ransum yang diberi TPI 10% menghasilkan performan entog jantan yang paling baik. Hal ini didukung oleh data berikut berat total usus halus 24,13 g, berat duodenum 29,47%, berat jejenum 41,59%, dan berat ileum 28,93%. Kesimpulannya penambahan Indigofera dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan morfologi usus entog.
